It’s your child's chance to share the spotlight with the special guy in his/her life!
Our Daddy Daughter Dance (or any adult) is the perfect way for a parent to join their dancer on stage! This is a special easy fun dance that is taught to both the adult and child during in studio rehearsals. They then perform the dance together on the Big Stage to either open or close one of our recital shows! It includes in studio practices, a themed T-shirt for the adult, and a special gift from the adult to their dancer! Adults need to attend at least 1 practice with their dancer & costume rehearsal to participate. HOW DO WE REGISTER?? Registration is IN PERSON ONLY *NO ONLINE REGISTRATION* Saturday Oct 26th 11:00am until FULL You must show up in person at your studio and sign up. You cannot register online or by the phone. If you put your name on the sheet you are then committed to being in the dance and there are no refunds. Space is extremely limited! We have people wait all year for this fun event! If you cannot attend on Saturday, Oct 26th, ask a friend/neighbor etc to register on your behalf. We cannot take any registrations via email or staff request in order to make it fair for everyone. Dancers must be in Bella Bunnies, Bella Butterflies, Bella Ballerinas, or one of our Performance Teams to participate. Dads and daughters (or sons) have the chance to attend up to 2 in-studio rehearsals together to learn a dance and get to perform that dance on the BIG STAGE at the recital. Both dads/adults and children MUST attend the dress rehearsal for their show. This rehearsal is NOT at the same time as your dancers regular class rehearsal for their recital dance. All practice classes and rehearsals are closed to moms/other adults/siblings! Don’t worry – we’ll take good care of them, and it makes for an AWESOME surprise! |

1. Does it have to be a dad?
No. Moms/Dads, Grandparents, Uncles/Aunts, Older brothers/sisters or a family friend can substitute! Adult dance partner must be at least 16 years of age. 2. What if we can’t make it to all the studio practices? It’s not necessary to attend them all – we encourage the adult and dancer to attend at least ONE together, but even if they can attend two, it’s important to practice at home so that everyone is comfortable on stage! 3. What if my child doesn’t seem to want to do the dance even in practice classes? A child’s response in class and on stage can be very different. We recommend carefully considering if your child will likely do well before registering, as the registration fee is non-refundable. It is required that children be at least 2.5 years of age to participate. The Daddy/Daughter dance is an experience that will last a lifetime and spending time at rehearsal and working through difficult situations with your child is as significant as performing the actual dance. Try to remember this important fact when you feel confused, frustrated and tired so this can be the best experience possible. 4. How does it work with Adults backstage? Grown ups will be directed where to go, and what to do via email communication in the weeks leading up to the show. Everyone will all meet at the stage doors right before the performance and we will bring their daughters to them. Don't worry - we walk them through everything the day before the show at the dress rehearsal where their attendance is required! 5. Will the Adults still be able to watch the show? YES! We know this is what you are here for! The Daddy/Daughter Dance is one of the first numbers, so that adults can re-join their families in the audience. We will even give you a seat saver so that other audience members know it’s OK to save that seat for your special person! |
